Titanic has come to rest

Titanic has reached its final resting    place.   It sailed through 6 performances, the last 3 being sellouts which meant sadly many people were refused boarding passes.

We have received an unprecedented amount of positive feedback from our audiences;  a few excerpts follow:

“Saw show last night and thought it was marvellous - well done to everyone”

“I … just had to write and congratulate all concerned.  It was truly the best thing I have seen the Society perform  – and that’s in spite of seeing the excellent shows of recent years! ”

“I was held absolutely enthralled from beginning to end and there wasn’t a weak link in it”

“The  band under Adam Baum were excellent and supportive and all the singers were wonderful – with some lovely expressive voices that  would easily grace a West End show”

“ John Hebden’s inventive and extremely clever production meant that everyone could be seen  and used dramatically to great effect which was quite an achievement as it was a huge cast.”

“…came to see Titanic Wed night, and just wanted to say what a fantastic experience, one of the best amateur productions I’ve ever seen”

“What a triumph!!  This was just a magical evening, as much talent both on stage but also everyone who made the total performance….  You must all be exhausted!”

“…my wife & I attended the performance on Tuesday evening, together with 4 friends.  We thoroughly enjoyed the show, the singing, acting costumes and scenery were magnificent.”

“Just wanted to say how much I enjoyed the production this week; I thought the show was excellent (although having not seen the original version, I didn’t feel the second Act portrayed sufficiently the anguish that the passengers endured during the sinking of the ship – but that is down to the script not the production!)   The highlights for me were the choruses; some wonderful harmonic lines, and seeing Malcolm Dorling doing his dance and trumpet act – such a talented man!!!!  Very successful I think.”

“It was a terrific show last night and we thoroughly enjoyed it all.   What a huge undertaking with so many people involved both on-stage and off-stage.  You must be exhausted but very pleased also I hope.”

February 2012 at the Hertford Theatre

To mark the 100th Anniversary of the sinking of Titanic, we are embarking on one of the most powerful musicals we have ever produced.

Titanic the Musical has three main ingredients – a wonderful score, great drama, and rich emotion. we have assembled an enthusiastic cast of more than 60 singers from all over Hertfordshire for this epic re-telling of the historic and tragic night in April 1912, when so many dreams, ambitions and lives were submerged beneath the icy Atlantic waters.

With a cast of characters drawn from real life, the musical captures the entire sweep of the voyage, from its initial joyful optimism to its ultimate heartbreak.

Special offer for Groups at every performance.
Groups of ten or more booking seats for the same performance will receive £1 discount per ticket!

We know that you will be enthralled by the Titanic experience so we look forward to welcoming you aboard the SHIP OF DREAMS.
